Because we didn’t learn this when we were in school
If you never practiced consent when the stakes were low, how do you expect to call on these skills when the stakes are high?
Comprehensive Consent was born as a company focused on supporting children and teens in their consent skills and social-emotional development. But it became clear pretty quickly that adults wanted this support as well! If you want to know how to figure out what you want, ask for what you want, set boundaries, navigate consent nuances, and strengthen your relationship skills, you’ve come to the right place.
1:1 Consent Skills Practice Sessions
Learning any worthwhile skill requires practice, feedback, and reflection. In our 60-minute practice session, you’ll get to practice your consent skills when the stakes are low so that you’re more prepared when the stakes are high.
Session format: After doing some exercises to help you practice your skills, you’ll reflect on your unique experience, and together we’ll discuss how you can continue to grow in these personal and interpersonal processes.
Choose a skill (or a few) that you want to improve upon:
Noticing your body
Asking for what you want
Saying no
Hearing and responding to a no
Responding to coercion
Negotiating collaboratively
Identifying and addressing nonverbal cues
Telling them you've changed your mind
Being accountable
These 60-minute sessions are $50. If cost is prohibitive in any way, please send me an email at sarah@comprehensiveconsent.com.
Note: You will not be practicing these skills as they relate to sexual activity. Consent skills are generalizable life skills. We will be practicing them in terms of everyday life situations.

“Working with Sarah has been a great joy. She is very knowledgeable about consent and how it shows up in all aspects of life. In our insightful sessions, we practiced consent skills that allowed me to cultivate new patterns of communicating and responding to others’ needs/wants. I now feel that I can trust myself to recognize my needs and advocate for them, as well as hold my boundaries in a wide variety of situations. I recommend that all adults who want to learn about boundaries and self-advocacy engage with Sarah — it will be truly transformative!”
